DEVELOPED BY FOOT SPECIALIST DR. MED. KERSTIN LAUER M.SC.
Probably the thinnest insoles in the world
kokochii [ pronounced: "koko-schie" ] comes from Japanese and means "comfortable, comfortable, feeling good". This name perfectly describes our product: innovative insoles with optimal function, but which, thanks to 3D printing technology, only have a material thickness of max. 2.5 mm.
They combine medical expertise – the daily practical experience of a podiatrist with the latest technology. Whether hiking boots, sneakers, business shoes, high-heels or ballerinas – kokochii® insoles are compatible with a wide range of shoe models.

About me

My name is Dr. Kerstin Lauer. I have been working as a Foot and Ancle Dr. in my practice in Munich. My many years of scientific, medical and practical experience make me an expert when it comes to foot health. My specialist knowledge in the field of insoles makes the crucial difference when it comes to finding the perfect support for a foot.
With this knowledge and as a real matter of the heart, I developed the kokochii® 3D insole as part of a funding project of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Research.
During my medical studies and my orthopedic training in Munich, I discovered my passion for biomechanics, although my particular interest has always been in the analysis of movement sequences. During my time at the Polyclinic for Sports Orthopedics at the Technical University of Munich, I supervised several sports science theses that dealt with the analysis of movement sequences in sports and work.
In September 2023, I successfully completed an additional, part-time master's degree in St. Pölten/Austria in the course “Gait Analysis and Rehabilitation”.
In addition to my scientific and practical work, I taught for ten years as a lecturer at the master school for orthopedic shoe technology. There I taught prospective masters the basics of medicine, foot-related illnesses, and the analysis of gait disorders in patients. In addition to developing theoretical concepts for insoles and shoe care, I supervised and evaluated the manual work of the master students.
THE KOKOCHII® PRINCIPLE
High-tech meets comfort

kokochii® insoles offer high orthopedic functionality with low material thickness. This is made possible by a well-thought-out pressure geometry: the stiff and elastic zones are combined by varying material thicknesses and structural networking.
The soles were tested at the Institute of Aerospace Engineering at the Technical University of Berlin. They were tested in a gait simulator one million times in the rolling motion. They were also tested in a climate chamber from -6°C to +40°C, as well as in a bath with physiological sweat solution.
Our insoles are recyclable and washable. Post-processing by sanding and cutting is possible without any problems, and the integration of upholstery materials is also no obstacle. This makes it possible to meet the specific needs of customers even better.

The kokochii® benefits

- Therapy for uncomplicated flatfoot, Hallux valgus, claw toes, metatarsalgia
